Brushwood (Melaleuca species)

There is great interest in growing Brushwood as it seems one of the few commercial options for marginal, water gaining sites. However it is vital not to over supply the market and thus turn possible productive sites into landcare plantings only.

The Southern Brook Catchment Group have obtained funding from the Wheatbelt Development Commission for a whole of Wheatbelt Brushwood Industry Development Plan.
